Did you know you can tell mom how much you love her this Mother's Day with a custom song? An original song from is the perfect gift to express your appreciation this Mother’s Day. By providing memories, stories and personal feelings an artist on the Custom Song team can create an original song with original lyrics that will touch a mother’s heart.

Emily G. from Tampa, Florida created a song for her mother Teresa last Mother’s Day. She lives several hundred miles from her mom and was looking for a special way to tell her just how much she meant to her and how she appreciated all of the things her mother had done for her. Artist Raven Clifton was able to create a song with lyrics based on Emily’s memories and heartfelt words to say “I love you.”

The song starts by painting a picture of her memories from childhood:

“From the first Brownie sash adorned with sewn on patches
To the recitals and leotards and countless classes,
You’ve been there with me through it all
You’ve made me feel so tall.”

During the chorus, Emily’s memories of her mother and her love and appreciation shine through:

“You're as sweet as your heavenly pies
And always so kind,
You’re loved more than you’ll ever know.”

The last verse is Emily’s memory of starting out on her own for the first time and draws a tear to the eye:

“And now you’re in a city far from me
We packed my Grand Am to the brim,
And I climbed in without you.
I miss you.”

Emily’s mother, Teresa, sent a letter shortly after receiving the gift from her daughter. In part, it read “For many years now I have told my family not to buy me presents, but write me letters and cards that can be saved and reread. This Mother's Day my daughter took that one step further and had a song created just for me. It was a wonderful surprise. I laughed and cried listening to it." As time goes on, the gift of a custom song never loses its value. "I will always treasure it and indeed play it back ever so often and smile," Teresa said.
